Primitive Sites.
Off-Road Access Only.
Our campsites cannot be reached by sedan, minivan, or a standard passenger car. These are primitive, off-road-in-only sites designed exclusively for 4WD and capable vehicles. If you drove here to wheel, you're already our kind of camper.

Smokey's Den
Smokey’s Den is a remote, primitive campsite intended for guests who understand that getting to camp is part of the adventure. This site requires travel on a Blue trail.
Tucked away in the south-west portion of the park, Smokey’s Den is one of the more private and secluded camping options at Three Ridges Events. This smaller site overlooks the Tribus (Three Levels) camping area, offering a quiet, off-the-beaten-path feel that is ideal for guests looking for a more remote experience away from the main activity areas.
This site can accommodate up to 4 vehicles and/or tents, making it a good fit for a small group that wants a more private basecamp. Smokey’s Den is a primitive camping location. There is currently no restroom at this site, so guests should plan accordingly and expect to drive to access bathroom facilities. At this time, the site does not yet have a fire pit installed, though a future fire pit area is planned.
What makes Smokey’s Den special is not built-in convenience, but its privacy, remoteness, and the skill required to reach it. This site is best suited for experienced Jeepers and capable vehicles. Newer drivers, stock vehicles, or guests unfamiliar with off-camber trail travel, traction changes, and tight trail conditions may find access challenging. Booking this site means understanding that this is a more rugged backcountry-style camping experience, not a pull-in campground spot. The trail-rating guidance published by Three Ridges Events is presented as a recommendation only, and drivers are told not to exceed their own ability or their vehicle’s capability.

Tribus (Three Levels)
Tribus (Three Levels) is a larger, more spacious primitive campsite that offers a balance of accessibility, comfort, and flexibility. This site is reached by traveling a Green trail and is located just up the hill from Brooks Badlands, making it a great option for guests who want a campsite that is easy to reach while still feeling connected to the trail system.
Located in a scenic section of the park, Tribus is designed to accommodate a variety of camping styles and group sizes. This multi-level site offers a unique layout with separate camping areas spread across three tiers, giving guests room to spread out while still camping together. Whether you are planning a larger group trip, a family outing, or a weekend with multiple rigs and tents, Tribus offers a little something for everyone.
This site can comfortably accommodate 8 to 10 vehicles and/or tent sites, making it one of the larger camping options at Three Ridges Events. The upper level is the largest section and is ideal for vehicle camping, while the middle level is better suited for tent camping. The lower tier offers space for a few more private tent sites, giving guests the option of a quieter and more tucked-away setup.
Tribus offers more amenities than some of our more remote primitive sites. This location includes two fire pits, a bathroom, and a grilling area, making it a strong option for guests who want the camping experience of the trail system with a few added conveniences. While this site is more accessible than some of our more technical locations, guests should still understand that this is an off-road park campsite and not a traditional developed campground.
